Here is a unique opportunity for your group to share in the pageantry of a medieval meal, which celebrated holidays, births, marriages, harvests, returning heroes or the end of a religious fast.  A wealthy noble, also, might display his power and prestige by hosting a feast featuring vast quantities of expensive foods and exotic spices.

.

More than just a dinner, our feast is an evening's entertainment suitable for company dinners, fund-raisers, anniversaries, and birthdays.  Special programs can be designed for medieval weddings, holiday celebrations and other formats, based on historical information available in our research library.  Customized menus can be arranged for vegetarians, fast days, and gourmet clubs.  Medieval attire for guests is more fun, but not required, available for rent at the Clothier Shoppe.

The vaulted undercroft hall at the Bors Hede, decorated with wondrous hunting scenes, seats up to 45 guests. Drinking mazers, borde knives and spoons line the linen-covered tables.  Laverers bring scented water to wash the guests' fingers, which are used for polite eating, and the pantler slices a bread trencher for each guest to eat upon.  The cooks prepare dishes from authentic medieval recipes, selected for their interest and taste, to please our noble guests, who are expected to repay the lord with their good manners and courteous bearing.

.

Trumpet fanfares announce  processions of servers bearing platters of victuals, and pitchers of wine are served round.  Meals include up to 15 dishes brought forth in courses, while courtly minstrels entertain with songs and stories, and play upon the lute. Magicians, or storytellers may be hired for special events.
